Lead Crisis!

What's happening with the lead? Is anyone actually working on it? Please update. In the bleakest scenario, I've got a back-up article which might be a feeble candidate. But, it will need a considerable amount of brushing up by someone. I'd much sooner choose a new article if it's in the process.
